IT/Analytics saw one of the biggest names of the season in the form of Microsoft. Around 10% of the students got placed in this domain.
The picture was rosy for the PGDHRM batch as well. They saw 24 companies making a total of 42 offers for 38 students. The average stipend for PGDHRM stood at 56,100 with the highest package going up to 1,60,000.
While prominent recruiters continued to repose their faith in the students, a number of first-time recruiters across various industries thronged the campus. Some of the top recruiters of the PGDHRM Class of 2014-16 were Larsen & Toubro, RPG, Samsung R&D, Titan, ICICI Bank, Wipro Consumer Care, Bluestone, Sun Pharmaceuticals, TATA Steel & Wipro Technologies. Besides, Jindal Steel & Power recruited for its Leadership Program (they also recruited PGDM students). Other niche HR roles offered were HR Analytics, Corporate HR, Industrial Relations, etc.
Staying true to the goal of inclusive growth for the society, IIM Ranchi also provided opportunities to intern with Non-Government Organizations & Not-for-Profit Organizations such as Rakshak Foundation & Sarthak Foundation.
This glorious placement scenario wouldn’t have been made possible but for the truly diverse and talented batch of students at the institute. IIM Ranchi boasts of one of the best gender diversity ratios in the form of 41% female students. Also, 12% of the students are from non-engineering background like Arts, Science, Medicine, Pharmaceuticals.
